Weighted On-Target Percentage: Summer scouting ball placement and accuracy
Charting through the 2026 NFL Draft charts of quarterbacks heading into a long offseason of summer scouting
The 2025 NFL Draft has just ended, so why not get a jump on the 2026 NFL Draft crop of quarterbacks?
There are a ton of talented, but young passers in this upcoming class. The anticipation offers much to be excited about, and the tools are off the charts. Names like South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers, Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, Penn State’s Drew Allar, Clemson’s Cade Klubnik, and more will get plenty of attention over the next year.
Inside the Film Room: This year's QB 'big riser' can be found in Bloomington, Indiana
The 2025 NFL Draft may have just come to a close, but the grind never stops. Everybody is always looking for the next big quarterback riser, and I’ve already found yours for the 2026 NFL Draft: Indiana Football’s Fernando Mendoza.
It’s time to get some accuracy and ball placement profiles done for the class. Lucky for you, I’ve already nearly gotten two handfuls of full profiles completed, with another eight I’d like to get done throughout the offseason.
So, you can find all of the summer scouting links to charts below (sorry, paywalling them this year) as well as some description about methodology, fine tuning of the metric, and how to understand the charts. (you may have to request access if you are a new subscriber).
Enjoy!
