Scouting Report: What makes Oregon S Dillon Thieneman a first round-worthy player
A consensus first round pick after the NFL Combine, let's take a look at the NFL Draft profile of Purdue-to-Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman
With the NFL Combine already in the rearview mirror, we are now full-speed ahead toward the 2026 NFL Draft. Scouting reports are finalized, big boards are getting their final pieces of information, and soon, all that will be left is for teams to come on the clock and make their selections.
It also means the scouting reports are ramping up on the site here as well. Just as a reminder, I will be releasing a draft guide for paid subscribers that will include 200 scouting reports, but I’ll publish as many here on the site (also only for paid subscribers).
Today, we’ll hit on Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman. After his 2025 season with the Ducks, after transferring over from Purdue, a year where he racked up 96 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, and five passes defended, Thieneman now has gobs of first round hype.
His performance at the NFL Combine only added to that hype as well. One scout told me that he does not expect Thieneman to get out of the top-20.
So, with that being said, let’s discuss his scouting profile as Thieneman now takes his game to the NFL level.
