Another day, another 2026 NFL Draft scouting report. Today, we take a deeper look at Miami right tackle Francis Mauigoa, what makes him so consistently sturdy upfront, and how that translates to the next level.

Mauigoa, a former five-star recruit out of IMG Academy (originally from Florida as well), opted to stay in his home state and commit to Miami over every conceivable southern blue blood program. He became a Day 1 starter for the Hurricanes, never missed a start, and never looked back.

Mauigoa will go down as one of the best players in program history at a school with a long lineage of legends.

In a league where offensive tackles rarely hit the free agency market and are overpaid when they do, Mauigoa will be coveted. There is a ton of hype around him kicking inside to guard, but one would think, given the supply and demand at the tackle position, that Mauigoa will get the opportunity to bookend an offensive line first.

So, what does Mauigoa bring to the NFL, and what is one lucky team getting when they take him in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft? Tap in!

Injury History

Francis Mauigoa did not miss a single game over the last three seasons as the starting right tackle for the Hurricanes. He had both shoulders surgically repaired due to labrum injuries in early 2024 that caused him to miss Spring ball. However, he was ready to play by the start of the 2024 season.
