The tape was good before the NFL Combine, but does his performance in Indianapolis vault him to new heights?

One of the hottest names coming out of the NFL Combine this past week and leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft is Arkansas running back Mike Washington.

And for good reason.

After he ran a blazing 4.33 40-yard dash and jumped out of the building at Lucas Oil Stadium, Washington now has hype as potentially the second running back off the board behind only Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love. Given the lack of top-end talent at the position in this year’s class, Washington very well might accomplish that task as well.

He is coming off a season where he rushed for over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns (nearly 1,300 total yards and nine total touchdowns) after transferring up a level in competition from New Mexico State to Arkansas. It’s hard to find even a handful of players who have had a better pre-draft process than Washington from the Senior Bowl to the NFL Combine.

So, just how high could Washington be drafted? Let’s dig into his scouting report here.
