Scouting Report: Miami EDGE Rueben Bain's profile is... unique
What do we make of the arm length, unique build, and dominant power profile of Rueben Bain?
Miami pass rusher Rueben Bain has stacked together one of the more productive seasons of any player in the 2026 NFL Draft class.
In a season where the Hurricanes finished as the runner-ups and played in the National Title game, Bain racked up a massive 15.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, and an eye-popping 83 pressures in 2025. As a result, he was named a First-Team All-American and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
However, his NFL Draft profile has become a complicated one, mainly because of the conversations regarding his arm length. There are slightly short arms, there are short arms, and then there are Bain’s arms that came in under 31 inches.
So, what do we make of Bain’s profile as he takes his game to the NFL level? I’ve got a scouting report for you. Here are my thoughts on Bain, his skillset, the arm length, and more.
