2026 NFL Draft prospect and Senior Bowl winner Kyle Louis

The Senior Bowl is over halfway completed now (well, all of the practices are done as I write this, but only the first two days of tape are out), as 2026 NFL Draft prospects like Pitt linebacker Kyle Louis are looking to impress in front of NFL scouts, personnel, and media alike.

So, just as I did for all three days of the East-West Shrine Bowl, I am writing up takeaways and observations for the Senior Bowl as well. While I am not in Mobile, Alabama, this week, I have an awesome vantage point right in front of my triple monitor mount with 4k tape.

If you missed Day 1’s takeaways and observations, you can find them here.

So, which 2026 NFL Draft prospects put on a show on Day 2? Here are my observations and takeaways:

Strong day from the undersized linebackers

Two linebackers rose to the top at the Senior Bowl on Day 2: Pitt’s Kyle Louis and Arkansas’ Xavian Sorey. While both are a bit undersized, with Louis coming in at 5-foot-11 and 224 pounds, and Sorey at 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, they were all over the field for their respective squads.

Louis, who I have a fourth round grade on at this point in the process, excelled in coverage all day. He had multiple interceptions and showed his wits to erase tight ends down the seam in one-on-ones as well. Working downhill, he was disciplined to his fits and showed off a firm punch.

Sorey was electric for the American squad. He played shot out of a cannon in run support, had a dominant rep where he cold-cocked Boston College guard Logan Taylor when taking him on as the puller, and played light on his feet in running back/linebacker one-on-one coverage drills.

One scout I know is not too fond of Sorey’s tape, but it’s great to see him have a strong week to potentially make NFL minds rethink his evaluation.
