Summer Scouting Report: Utah OT Spencer Fano
What does the Utah right tackle bring to the table with his 2026 NFL Draft stock on the line? A whole lot.
Writing up another 2026 NFL Draft Summer Scouting Report, we move to Salt Lake City to talk about University of Utah right tackle Spencer Fano.
I didn’t want to write a scouting report on Fano. I wanted to do an Inside the Film Room. I recorded it, watched two games, and talked through everything I saw. Devastatingly, however, I realized when I went to edit the video that my mic had been muted for the entirety of the feature.
Those Inside the Film Rooms cannot be redone either. The purpose of them is for me to start with a blank slate with you guys. By the time I finished recording, I already had thoughts, pages of notes, and a grade on Fano. To redo it would have compromised the authenticity of going through my process from start to finish on Fano.
So instead, I’ll write up his scouting report and give my thoughts this way. So what did I think about Fano? Here is all of the information you would have received in the form of video content had I not completely butchered it!
About Spencer Fano
Height: 6-foot-6

Fano was a four-star recruit in the class of 2023 out of Provo, Utah. The Utah right tackle was the No. 7 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Utah in his recruiting class. Chose Utah over the likes of Clemson, Michigan, LSU, Miami, and plenty more.
He has started all but one game of his collegiate career for the Utes. He comes from an NFL bloodline as four of his uncles all played in the NFL. Fano was named an All-Big 12 First Teamer by both the coaches and AP voters.
