Scouting Report: The other Texas offensive tackle may be just as good as the first

Welcome to another 2027 NFL Draft summer scouting report.

This year’s offensive tackle class may not be on the same level as the 2024 NFL Draft class, but there is still talent to bet on in terms of the upside presented on tape.

And one of those offensive tackles is the Temple-to-Wake Forest-to-Texas transfer, Melvin Siani. While it is Trevor Goosby who is getting all of the 2027 NFL Draft attention, and for good reason (even if I am lower than consensus on him), Siani has the chance to insert himself into the first round conversation as well.

Now a Redshirt Junior, Siani has taken a leap each and every year of his college football career after coming to the United States from Hamilton, Ontario.

He has only been playing football for four years, beginning during his senior season after moving to Pennsylvania. And for a player who is as young to the sport as Siani is, he still gives a ton to like from the position.
