Summer Scouting Report: Memphis OL Chris Adams

Another week, another 2026 NFL Draft scouting report.

First, we traveled to Arizona State to talk about their cornerback Keith Abney II. This time, we head to the Group of Five level to the University of Memphis.

The Tigers are hiding a fun player in offensive lineman Chris Adams. The NFL is starved for offensive linemen, so they will take them, no matter what school they come from, if they can play or provide some added security on the depth chart.

And Adams can play.

So let’s talk about the redshirt senior entering his last year of eligibility with big-time 2026 NFL Draft aspirations. What does Adams bring to the field? Where does he have room to improve? Where does his draft stock currently stand?

I’ve got you covered.

About Chris Adams

Height (listed): 6-foot-5

Weight (listed): 277 pounds

Year: 5SR

Key Stats: 0 sacks, 4 QB hits, 19 total pressures allowed on 240 true pass sets.

A former three-star recruit, Adams originally found his way to Old Dominion in 2021 before transferring to Memphis after three years there. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in the 2022 season before returning to start every game for Old Dominion in 2023 at both left and right tackle. Adams started all 13 games at left tackle in his first season with the Tigers in 2024.
